Music lessons can be life changing. When done well, they can be the catalyst for a lifetime of artistic expression and appreciation.
At Savannah, we have found that success in music lessons comes down to a couple of key factors.
First, we think that the student and instructor must click. Curriculum does not bring about success in lessons (or any educational endeavor for that matter) the instructor-student relationship does. When teachers and students have personalities that allow for easy communication, incredible things can happen.
Second, parents and students must be very committed to the process, and willing to stick with it. Nothing worth having comes easily in life, and music lessons are no exception. There will be times when practicing that scale or vocal warm up just isn't appealing. Successful students do it anyway.
Students must make music part of daily life. Music is a language, and we all know there is only one way to learn a language.

Lessontrack
When it comes to music lessons, practice is everything. We created Lessontrack to help our students make the most of their time between lessons. Students are given a private online journal where instructors can upload lesson summaries, video clips, and other study aids to enhance practicing at home.
